1. Labour Supply and Demand in Imperfectly Competitive Markets (3 lectures)
- Imperfect competition and micro foundations of modern labour market macroeconomics
- Equilibrium unemployment and the NAIRU
- Other relevant issues (labour market flows and the steady-state unemployment rate, the wage curve, measuring involuntary unemployment)

2. Wage and Employment Determination at the Micro-level (3 lectures)
- Efficiency wages theory
- Trade union monopoly model
- Wage and employment bargaining as a cooperative game (efficient bargains model)

3. Wage Differentials (3 lectures)
- Compensating wage differentials
- Individual characteristics and discrimination
- Other factors (inter-industry, occupational, regional wage differentials)

4. Institutional and Policy Issues (3 lectures)
- Minimum wage
- Active labour market policy
- Income inequality and poverty
