CFA Institute Research Challenge 2020

The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute organizes an international student competition in company valuation. Teams of 3-5 students are assigned a mentor, CFA charter-holder, with an extensive business experience. Winners proceed to the European and global round. Learn more about the competition at the kick off presentation at the University of Economics in Prague, room nr. RB211 on Tuesday 9 October, starting from 19:45. There will be online streaming provided via VŠE mediasite (https://mediasite.vse.cz/Mediasite/Catalog/catalogs/vse  Záznamy ostatních akci/8-CFA a CIRC). Applications by individual students should be accompanied with a CV, a transcript of records from SIS in pdf (printscreen) and a 1-page long motivation letter highlighting an applicant's qualifications for the competition and his/her time possibilities. Applicants are welcome to indicate their preference of team mates they would like to form the team with. Selection of team members will be based on the competence, motivation and commitment of individual applicants. Applicants should be aware that a successful participation yields valuable experience and a rich network of contacts, but it is time consuming and it requires effective collaboration in the team. Furthermore, giving a professional presentation is crucial for success in the competition. In case of a successful participation of Charles Univesity team in the Czech national final (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) all team members will get 3 credits for a professional intership that will count towards the completion of their study program.
