Czech Economic Society calls the competition for the 26th Young Economist of the Year Award.
The competition is open to Czech citizens or citizens residing in the Czech Republic till 30 years of age (applies also to co-authors). Each participant may send only one own scientific work in the range up to 30 pages (up to 54 thousand characters including spaces), including abstract, keywords and JEL Classification. A paper should be sent along with an application form and a short nontechnical summary of up to 100 words that will be used in the media, if the paper is awarded.
Each participant is obligated to present shortly the paper, if awarded, at the occasion of the announcement of the results of the competition.
Deadline for applications: 20th October 2019.

Applications containing a paper (without the author’s name), nontechnical summary and application form should be sent electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The award for the first place is 30,000 CZK, for the second place 20,000 CZK and for the third place 10,000 CZK. President of the Czech Economic Society may award Karel Engliš Prize for the best paper on the Czech economic policy. CES President’s Recognition may be awarded to an author till 25 years of age, if not awarded by the CES before.
