Economic Theory
The Major in Economic Theory aims at modern theoretical concepts in the areas of micro and macroeconomics. Concentration is towards mathematical models, but also towards economic psychology, history of economic thinking and economic statistics. This major is suitable for students who want a career in economic research and in university. It is possible to study the Master Jointly with CERGE-EI, where in the first year of the cycle student enrolls courses at CERGE, in the second year at IES.
