Admission examination
Applicants are evaluated based on National Comparative Test oragnized by Scio from:
- Mathematics (weight 60%)
- Scholastic Apptitude Test (weight 40%)
English knowledge is not tested but is a necessary precondition for study.
National Comparative Test will take place on:
- 8.12.2012 SAT
- 9.2.2013 SAT, Mathematics
- 9.3.2013 SAT, Mathematics
- 6.4.2013 SAT, Mathematics
- 8.5.2013 SAT

Application
Deadline for submitting application form is 28.2.2013.
Apart from FSV application form applicants must also enroll for National Comparative Test.

Applicants from Slovakia
The students who are able to comprehend the lecturing in Czech and take part in classes by using Czech undergo standard admission procedure and are subject to the same conditions as the Czech students.
Foreign applicants
All the studies at IES are open to applicants from abroad. The students who are able to comprehend the lecturing in Czech and take part in classes by using Czech undergo standard admission procedure and are subject to the same conditions as the Czech students.
Applications are submitted by the end of February and should include:
- previous study results
- curriculum vitae
- English language certificate
- reference letters
- documents, such as TOEFL, GMat, GRE, etc.
The admission examination itself is taken usually in early June. Even though a large part of the instruction is in English, it is assumed that foreign students speak at least basic Czech, because instruction and courses fully in English cannot be provided. More information on this kind of study is provided by the Study Department of FSV.
Admission process in the previous years
Currently IES hosts 441 students in the bachelors progamme, 246 students in the masters programme and 72 doctoral students. Especially bachelors programme is highly demanded, which is why only a small portion of the applicants can be satisfied.

DOORS OPEN DAY
will be held on Friday Jan 11th, 2013 and on Friday June 7th, 2013 from 9 h in Opletalova 26, Prague.
In 2014 will be held on Friday Jan 17th and June 6th.
Students will be familiarized with application management, bachelor and master studies and students activities of our institute.
