The Effectiveness of Counter-Terrorism Strategies: A Bootstrap Panel Granger Causality Analysis
For decades, military interventions have been one of the most popular antiterrorism
policies for governments. However, increasing terrorist attacks in recent years
bring worries regarding the effectiveness of government anti-terrorism policies, in
particular vast military spending. In this regard, by using a bootstrap panel Granger
causality analysis we plan to examine the relationship between military expenditures and
casualties from terrorism.
