Elections to Academic Senate UK will hold on Wednesday 28. 11. 2012 (10:00–17:00), Thursday 29. 11. 2012 (10:00–17:00), Friday 30. 11. 2012 (10:00–14:00). At IES you can vote in front of the room 109.
For voting at IES you have to be a student of IES (i.e. no visiting or Erasmus students are allowed to vote)

25/11/2012 - František Turnovec received prestigious Czech Economic Society award
Profesor František Turnovec received the Czech Economic Society award for the long-term contribution to the development of Czech economics. The award was recieved at the annual conference of the Czech Economic Society. Profesor Turnovec then delivered the lecture about the applications of co-operative game theory. Congratulations!
25/11/2012 - Our students received several prestigious awards from the Czech Economic Society
Tomáš Havránek and Marek Rusnák recieved the 1st place in the Young Economist competition of the Czech Economic Society. They recieved this award for their paper Transmission Lags of Monetary Policy: A Meta-analysis. The paper is currently at revise-resubmit stage at the highly selective journal International Journal of Central Banking.
Jana Votápková and Pavlína Žílová received Engliš award of the Czech Economic Society. The award is granted by the president of the Czech Economic Society for the best article addressing the Czech economic policy. They received this award for their paper The Effect of the Abolition of User Charges on the Demand for Ambulatory Doctor Visits. The paper addresses the effect of the introduction of 30 CZK fee for doctor visits on the behaviour of patients.
Barbora Šútorová received the special recognition from the Czech Economic Society for the best paper by the author below 25 years. She received this award for her paper The Impact of Basel III on European Banks.

The intensive course of "International Human Resource Management" will take place at IES FSV UK, Opletalova 26, Prague 1, in room # 314, June 13th and 14th, 2012. A course by Mag. Christian Garaus (Institute of Human Resource and Change Management, Johannes Kepler University Linz (Austria)). All advanced Bachelor level students as well as Master level students are more than welcome to enroll and take the opportunity to get more experienced in the field. Detailed information is attached. 28/02/2012 - Presentation of Michal Bauer
Michal Bauer PhD. gave a lecture on February 16, 2012 about Warfare Experience during Ontogeny Increases Egalitarian and Parochial Motivations at United Nations University in Maastricht. The lecture can be seen here. Michal Bauer has been invited to the radio station Rádio Česko to talk about the same topic.

repeated voting in by-elections to the AS of Charles University on Dec 21, 2011 from 12 to 16 hours and Dec 22, 2011 from 9 to 13 hours at a polling station : Opletalova , Hollar and Jinonice. Election Commission and candidates remain unchanged.
