| Abstract: | Agriculture cooperative agro-combine Slušovice was the phenomenon at the time of so-called late socialism. The aim of this bachelor thesis is mainly to analyse the reasons and the effects of its great economic success, not only at the field of agriculture basic industry. At the beginning, the management system in the Baťa’s company is sketched out because it has many similarities with Slušovice management. Next part is devoted to the description of the commencement of the cooperative including the biggest obstacles that had to be dealt with. The core of the thesis reports the organizational structure of the cooperative with the emphasis on the analysis of financing methods then continues to the specification of human resources management, it means not only the selection of workers, but also their motivation and education. Wide social programme for employees is also discussed. Careful attention is put on the description of vigorous investment projects as the highest peak of the long-term planning. The last part is spent on the characterisation of political influences and the pressures on the cooperative. Text is enriched by the comments of the former cooperative’s top-managers that were collected by the author for the purpose of this thesis. |
