Abstract: This thesis analyses the Czech telecommunications market before the entry of fourth mobile network operator, an event that is expected to completely alter this market. As the entry of a new MNO is interconnected with the LTE roll-out as the medium of entry, the LTE roll-out forms the underlying basis of the analysis. The entire analysis is elaborated from the strategic perspective Telefónica O2 Czech Republic as the most complex market player and the only fully integrated operator. Due to the strategic perspective, the basic concepts of strategic planning, with stress on the internal/external analysis and strategy formulation, are explained as well in the first part of the thesis.
