Abstract: | Subject matter of this work is description of regulation and self-regulation of monetary system in period from the middle of the 19th century till the end of the thirties of the 20th century. Before the beginning of the 20th century, the regulation existed as not important element. It was changed after the beginning of the 20th century when government started to use much more the regulation as instrument to keep safe deposits and to secure stability of monetary system. New epoch of the regulation and self-regulation started after the end of the WW1 and the establishing of the Czechoslovakia Republic. The significant milestones were the monetary laws from 1924, which truly implemented the regulation into monetary system. These laws supported self-regulation as well. Amendment of these laws was done in 1932 when the regulation and self-regulation were taken in more wider and deeper meaning. There were established two institutions as well, which connected government with people working in monetary system in preparation of the regulation. Their successful co-operation was cancelled by the beginning of the WW2. |
