| Abstract: | Phare is the European Union programme with the aim to support the ongiong process of economic reconstruction of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe by providing financial and technical support in key areas. In the Czech Republic, it played an important role during the transformation of the centrally planned economy to the market economy. The thesis describe the development of the programme, analyse its activity and assesse achievements in different sectors. The conclusion insludes suggestions for the future operation of the Phare programme. |
