The Wage Differences in Czech Republic according to Gender and Age

|Abstract:||The aim of this work is to analyze the allocation of wages between men and women on the Czech labor market in the year 1996. For doing that, the classical regression method of the least squares will be used. The same approach will be taken into account while analyzing the influence of the factor age on the wages determination. The allocation of wages according to the gender is supplemented by the decomposition of wages (Binder, Oaxaca), which enables to answer the question, whether there was some discrimination by gender on the Czech labor market in 1996. In case that yes, we will as well try to quantify the level of this discrimination.
The whole calculation has been done on the cross-sectional Mikrocensus data file, which was created in the year 1996, which is this work valid for.
