Abstract: Bachelor thesis consists of three basic parts. The first one is an introduction to the issue, its aim is to present the main factors to form the economic policies in the observed period, as these largely influence the equilibrium of single balance of payments accounts. These policies dispose of instruments, that can cause the external imbalance of economy, as well as adjust it back to the equilibrium.
The second part, theoretical, presents the assumptions and logic of IS-LM-BP-NX model, and it clerifies the connections between the two economic policies and external balance. This part serves as a ground for correct comprehension of important connections and mechanisms, that help to achieve the external balance. Theoretical part is necessary for developing the primary intention of this thesis, which means a description of real balance of payments development in Czech rebublic in last decade.
