Abstract: | This thesis investigates the question of arrival of electronic commerce instruments and their possible role in organization of supply chains. Since the electronic commerce is still a rather new phenomenon, in the first part of this theses the electronic commerce is defined and basic relationships, historical evolution, current state and future prospects of an electronic commerce are analyzed. The knowledge regarding the electronic commerce obtained in the first part is then used in the second part of this thesis to study the changes in an organizational form of supply chains with respect to electronic commerce instruments. As a basis for that study serves so called traditional approach to supply chains that represents set of principles applied in organization of supply chains before arrival of electronic commerce. |
