Abstract: The work of this diploma focusses on international tax planning, which, as a term, covers a broad range of tax issues and here includes company law issues as well as other legal norms regulating the corporate world. In order for the various instruments of international tax planning to be applied in the most efficient way, it seems necessary to gain an in-depth knowledge of the above-mentioned legal norms to be able to find the most appropriate solutions offered by a particular legal system, and to be able to approach these particular problems in the most creative way possible. It is this particular aspect of international tax planning that seems to make it an essentially inexpressible science, the numerous facets of which it will never be possible to fully describe. But it is at the same time this very factor that makes international tax planning such an interesting research area.
