Apply for elections for the position of student ombudsperson

Who is the student ombudsperson?
The student ombudsperson helps to resolve problems and conflict situations of a study and personal nature more effectively and quickly. They function as an advisory, mediating and intervening link between students, teachers, the management of individual institutes and the entire faculty. They are therefore another of the supporting bodies at the faculty. The function of student ombudspeople is available within each institute for students at all levels of study. They cooperate closely with the vice-dean Zuzana Kasáková and the Social and Ethics Commission at the faculty.
Who can become an ombudsperson?
All students of the given institute studying a Bachelor's, Master's or doctoral program can become a student ombudsperson. It is an elected position. The elections are organized by the student associations operating at the institutes. The full text of the Student Ombudsman Regulations can be found here.
How will the ombudspeople be selected?
If you are interested in becoming a student ombudsperson, you can submit your application to the chairperson of the election commission of the individual student associations from 16 to 25 February 2026 (the members of the election commissions will be published on this page in the coming days). A sample application form can be found here. The elections of student ombudspeople will take place online from 3 to 4 March 2026 from 9:00 to 15:00.
