Youth Policy Dialogue on Money Management Skills

High‑profile event hosted by the European Commission.

The Commission is organising a Youth Policy Dialogue on Money Management Skills in Brussels on 30 April 2026, chaired by Commissioner Maria Luís Albuquerque. Participants will be invited to share their views on the knowledge and tools that young Europeans need to take charge of their financial future, and how we can better support the learning of these skills. The ideas will feed into the Commission’s ongoing efforts to promote financial literacy in the EU.

Young Europeans aged 18 to 30 can apply to join by submitting a short video (up to 1 minute) explaining why it’s important for young people to learn about money. The video doesn’t have to be professionally produced – a simple recording is sufficient, and the videos will not be published. Out of all the submissions we receive, we will select 15 participants who will meet Commissioner Albuquerque at the dialogue in Brussels. Travel and accommodation costs will be fully covered.

The competition runs until 19 February – all the details can be found here: https://finance.ec.europa.eu/youth-policy-dialogue-2026_en
