| Popis: | The project aims to fi nd out whether health determines the level of liquid savings among a pre-retirement (50-60 years old) segment of the Czech population as retrieved from the SHARE (Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe) database using a 2SLS methodology. Other demographic, health and economic characteristics are also considered. If health status determines the level of savings, the results have important policy implications particularly for the design of preventive health programs because savings positively influence economic growth of a country. |
