Abstract: | analysis of the factors and consequences of structural changes is important not only understanding changes in the economies and societies of the CEE countries but also for evaluating the changing position of these countries in the European and world economy. The dynamic changes in social and economic systems throughout Europe, the structural changes in income and wealth distribution, regional distribution of economic activities represent both the core drivers and impacts of macro-, mezzo- and micro-structural changes that are hard to separate in the causal chain. Their relevance, however goes, well beyond growth or economic world, but spills over to the political stability of the affected countries, of the EU and its position worldwide. What, in the 20th century has distinguished European countries from the rest of the world and internally and are those features sustainable? |
