Abstract: |
In this paper the concept of politometrics is proposed, defined in a similar way as Ragnar Frisch in 1932 had defined the econometrics: as the discipline summarizing application of mathematical and statistical techniques to political science problems and theories. Different possible topics of politometrics are discussed, such as models of voting, measures of influence in committee systems and regression models of socio-demographic determinants of voters’ behavior. Relevant research agenda is briefly outlined. |
