Abstract: |
This theses tries to analyze the system of tertiary education financing in Czech Republic. It proves, through empirical research and many international comparisons, the importance of education for a modern society and for an individual. Further on it shows the main problems of the current financing system in Czech Republic, especially the lack of funds and low pressure on efficiency. It introduces one way how to solve the current state – implementing tuition fees. It brings theoretical and practical proofs, that this system can work efficiently. But in association with this it indicates the possible threats arising from the Czech environment. In the end it brings a comparison of chosen European systems of higher education financing and summarizes the general trends in this area. |
