Abstract: Technical harmonisation is one of the single market tools that has to ensure the freedom of free movement of goods. It has been developing for many years, firstly through the detailed directives of the old approach, then by the new approach that covers only the basic product specifications. The aim of technical harmonisation is to remove barriers to trade among the member states of the European Union. Therefore the Czech republic had to harmonise its technical product main task of this thesis is to show how did the implementation of technical regulations proceed and how the producers and manufacturers deals with harmonising measures. Furthermore we show what are the additional costs and problems of implementing these measures and how the producers should go on to manage the integration into the internal market of the EU.
