New course: JEM339 Sustainable Finance and ESG

We invite students to a new course on sustainable finance and ESG, a rapidly growing subfield of modern finance spanning asset pricing, banking, corporate finance, and corporate governance.
In this course, we will introduce the main topics, instruments, and issues in sustainable finance and ESG. We will apply the essentials of carbon footprint methodology, evaluate sustainability and ESG metrics, understand the construction of green and sustainable products, and analyze market-wide consequences of ESG.
The course will offer guest lectures on sustainable banking (McKinsey), carbon footprint methodology (PwC), risk management (CRIF Czech Credit Bureau), and ETFs (Fondee).
The course begins on Tuesday, October 1, at 14:00 in Room 105.
