Master Final Exam

The application procedure for the Master State Final Exam is the same for all students of Master programs. 

Application deadlines AY 2025/26:
from December 1st, 2025 till Jan 5, 2026 at the latest for the State Final Exam in February 2026
from April 20, 2026 till May 4, 2026 at the latest for the State Final Exam in June 2026
from July 1st, 2026 till July 27, 2026 at the latest for the State Final Exam in September 2026

Regular dates of Master State Final Exam in AY 2025/26:
February 4, 2026
June 17, 2026
September 16, 2026
The state exam will take place face-to-face in the IES building.

You have to submit all documents to the SIS (see 1 and 4) by the application deadline:

1. PDF/A version of your Master Thesis (MT), English abstracts must be uploaded to the Student Information System (SIS) on the day of your registration for the Master State Final Exam (till July 28, 2026). Fill in all information carefully, paying particular attention to the thesis title in English and Czech, as well as other necessary data. The thesis may not contain any personal data (phone, e-mail) or signatures of the student or the supervisor,
2. we have canceled the submission of a hardcopy of your MT,
3. we have canceled the submission of a printed or an electronic Transcript of Records, the Program Director will check it in the SIS by the deadline specified in Academic Calendar,
4. electronic application for the Master State Final Exam (till July 27, 2026).

You can check whether you have successfully registered for the Master State Final Exam by checking the item "Final Exam-Student" in the SIS.

One week before the day of the Master State Final Exam, you will receive an SIS invitation with a precise date and time of your Final Exam.

There is no need to submit a print-out of your Final Exam Application Form! 

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The title of the Master's thesis must be recorded in the SIS in both English and Czech. It needs to be the same in SIS and in the Thesis. In case of discrepancies, the application may be subject to denial. Minor changes to the title of the thesis may be carried out at the secretariat of the IES or by the thesis advisor.
