The Rector of Charles University has announced the 31st annual Bolzano Award competition. This prestigious prize is awarded to students and graduates of all types of programs at Charles University for exceptionally innovative works with outstanding creative content, typically with an interdisciplinary thematic overlap, produced during their studies. The award is announced in three categories based on subject areas: social sciences including theology, natural sciences, and biomedical sciences. The award comes with a diploma and a monetary reward.
How to Enter? The rules for awarding the Bolzano Award are governed by the Statute of Awards for Students and Graduates of Charles University. Applications for the competition are submitted by the student or graduate through SIS, specifically via the Awards module in SIS4, where more information about the competition can also be found. A detailed guide on how to submit an application to the system is available here.
Only works that were completed (defended and/or published) in the academic year 2023/2024 can be submitted into the competition. The same work cannot be submitted repeatedly.
The application deadline is October 31, 2024. The official announcement of the results will take place in April 2025.
