Apply for a Czech Government Scholarship that fully covers tuition fees for selected Master’s programs and provides subsidies for health insurance and living expenses in the Czech Republic. Study at Charles University in Prague

Eligible Master’s Programs
The scholarship can be applied to the Master in Economics and Finance (MEF) or the Master in Finance and Data Analytics (MFDA) programs. Both programs are fully taught in English. They prepare students for successful careers in asset management, investment banking, strategic consulting, commercial banking, data analytics, and other segments of the financial industry. Additionally, these programs prepare students for employment in global and national financial institutions and for doctoral studies and subsequent academic careers.

Optional Pre-Evaluation for MEF
After filing their application for the scholarship at the Czech government website here, applicants to the MEF program who wish to enhance their chances of receiving a scholarship are invited to also email the following documents (in English) for pre-evaluation by Charles University. Charles University will later send the results of its pre-evaluation to the Czech government to bolster the applicant’s prospects of success.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Include details of your previous studies, employment, volunteer work, extracurricular activities, achievements, etc.
- Transcripts of Records.
- List courses studied to date and grades received. Please provide an explanation of the grading scale as well.
- Letter of Motivation.
- Explain why you have chosen the MEF program and highlight your strengths to be considered in the application process.
- Certificates of Aptitude and Language Tests (Optional).
- Optionally, attach scans or photos of certificates for aptitude tests (e.g., GMAT, GRE) and language tests (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS).
- Letters of Recommendation (Optional).
- Optionally, provide letters of recommendation from your professors, supervisors, etc.
Application Deadline
Apply for the scholarship using the online form. For studies beginning in the academic year 2025/2026, the application deadline is September 30, 2024. For MEF applicants, email the above-specified documents for pre-evaluation to: mef.ies@fsv.cuni.cz (the deadline for this is also September 30, 2024).
