Elections to the FSV UK Academic Senate and UK Academic Senate

At its meeting on 8 October 2024, the FSV UK Academic Senate announced elections to the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University for the term of office 2025–2027. It also announced the date of elections to the Academic Senate of Charles University for the term of office 2025-2028. Both elections will take place electronically from November 26 to November 28, 2024

The Academic Senate of FSV UK is the key controlling institution of the faculty. Through the Academic Senate you can influence the running of your faculty, just like in any other political election.

It is composed of ten students and ten teachers. The senators look under the hands of the faculty management, checking, for example, the preparation of the budget, various faculty regulations, but also, for example, the quality of teaching. Furthermore it is important for the student academic community that the student chamber of the Academic Senate distributes money to student societies. With this money, students can then organise various events that may not even be directly related to their studies. Whether it is a sports day, a beer pentathlon or debates with interesting guests, student money always comes in handy when organizing an event.
