Martin Gregor gave a talk at the University of Zurich
Martin Gregor was recently invited to give a talk at the University of Zurich, one of the leading European universities in the fields of economics, business, and finance. During his talk at the Research Seminar in Accounting, Auditing & Governance, he presented his current work on counterintuitive effects of short-term executive compensation. He analyzes how short-term options and other instruments influence information production in a firm, and documents unexpected positive effects of call options with short expiry dates.
Research Seminar in Accounting, Auditing & Governance (AAG) invites about 10 top scholars every year to the Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics at the University of Zurich. The seminar discusses research related to information, monitoring, compensation, and corporate governance. This year, it organized lectures by academics from, among others, Chicago, London School of Economics (LSE), Bocconi, Toronto, and Hong Kong.
