McKinsey Lecture: Can ESG Lending Deliver Financial Value?

We invite students with a strong interest in sustainable finance and ESG to attend a guest lecture „The Price of Doing Good: Can ESG Lending Deliver Financial Value?“ by Lukáš Tuček, Associate at McKinsey & Company. Lukáš graduated from IES in 2020. In addition to experience at McKinsey & Company, he has also worked as a researcher and analyst at BCG and EY.

The lecture will explore two topics related to sustainable banking. The first is the distinction between genuine ESG goals in banking and greenwashing. The second are sustainability-linked loans (SLL) and bonds (SLB) from a bank’s perspective. During the lecture, a brief case from the Czech market will be discussed.

The lecture will be part of the JEM339 Sustainable Finance and ESG course. It will be held on Tuesday, November 11, at 2 pm, in Room 105. Given the very limited space, anyone seriously interested must write to Martin Gregor by Friday, November 7, to request an individual seat reservation.
