Our alumnus, Jan Sinčák, has won the Professor Michal Mejstřík Award

During the Mastercard Bank of the Year 2023 gala evening, which took place yesterday at the Municipal House in Prague, awards were presented not only to the best banks and insurance companies, but also to the authors of exceptionally beneficial diploma theses in the field of economics - the winners of the 3rd annual competition for the Professor Michal Mejstřík Award. 

We  are happy to announce that our alumnus, Jan Sinčák, has won the first place. His award-winning thesis entitled “Machine Learning Methods in Payment Card Fraud Detection", was supervised by Associate Professor Jozef Baruník.
