New database available at IES: BankFocus

The BankFocus database by Bureau van Dijk/Moody's Analytics is now available at IES.

Access is automatically enabled for all IES faculty members and interested doctoral students. Students can receive a username and password via email from Dagmar Schnellerova (similar to the Eikon database). This database can be accessed by 5 simultaneously logged users.

Access to the database is then via: https://login.bvdinfo.com/R1/Bankfocus

An initial online user training session in English with Moody's trainer is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5th, at 10:00 AM. Please notify Jiri Kukacka in advance of your interest in participating.

The BankFocus database offers extensive financial data on over 46,800 banks across the globe and more than 10,000 other non-bank financial institutions, including both active and inactive entities. It provides historical coverage of up to 30 years, encompassing detailed financial statements, ownership structures, and credit ratings. This database enables users to perform trend analysis, benchmark performance, and evaluate risks across institutions and geographies.
