We would like to draw your attention to a small exhibition assembled by our Emeritus Assoc. Professor Vladimír Benáček to mark the 35th anniversary of the return of modern economics teaching to Charles University. The display has been installed in the library at the Institute of Economic Studies and will be on view until October 31, 2025.

The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University announces the 30th public competition for Josef Vavroušek Award, subtitled Human Values and Civilization Development Problems. Competition will include Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, Rigorosum and Dissertation theses defended in the current and in the previous academic year. The deadline for application is 25 July 2025.

Our colleague, doc. Jozef Baruník, was appointed to the SH1 evaluation panel within the ERC Consolidator Grants call in 2024. Participation in this panel focused on economics, finance and management, is not only a recognition of doc. Baruník's international scientific reputation, but also a confirmation of the high quality of research carried out at the Institute of Economic Studies.
