IES Director presented the Awards for Distinguished Master’s and Bachelor’s Theses 

The IES Director's Award for Distinguished Theses was newly established in 2024.
It was awarded for the first time on the occasion of the June 2024 state final exams. 

Out of a total of 30 successfully defended bachelor's and 18 master's theses, the following ones obtained the award for their exceptional quality and excellent defense:

Bachelor’s theses:

• Learning in public goods game: alternative model performance

• Price elasticity of electricity revisited: A meta-analysis
  author: Bc. Vojtěch Šikl
  advisor: doc. PhDr. Zuzana Havránková, Ph.D.

• Vehicle stock-flow probabilistic modeling: Implementation of logit structure in TIMES-CZ model
  author: Bc. Lukáš Vorel
  advisor: Mgr. Milan Ščasný, Ph.D.

Master’s theses:

• Ability bias in the returns to schooling: How large it is and why it matters
  author: Mgr. Petr Čala
  advisor: doc. PhDr. Zuzana Havránková, Ph.D.
   
• Financial Distress Prediction in Digital Finance Platforms
  author: Mgr. Lin Zhang
  advisor: prof. Ing. Evžen Kočenda, M.A., Ph.D., DSc.
