Vědecko-pedagogická rada
Vědecko-pedagogická rada je poradním orgánem ředitele. Je tvořena předsedou rady, ředitelem institutu, zástupcem ředitele, vedoucími kateder, garanty studia a předními externími vědeckými pracovníky, pedagogickými pracovníky a zástupci z praxe. Zabývá se strategickými otázkami rozvoje, orientací vědy a výzkumu a zaměřením studia ve všech jeho formách.

Mgr. Petr Dvořák: Managing Director at Budweiser Budvar. He graduated in Economics at Charles University in 2001. For eight years, he worked at Pivovary Staropramen, starting as Brand Manager and ending as Marketing Director for Central Europe at InBev, responsible for strategic portfolio development in the region. In 2009, he worked as Brand and Marketing Communication Director at Telefonica O2. From 2010 to 2017, he worked as Global Brand Director of Pilsner Urquell at SABMiller. He was responsible for Pilsner Urquell, delivering the global brand strategy, strategic assets, and global activation assets. |

Dr. Zdeněk Drábek: Independent adviser following his retirement as Senior Adviser in the World Trade Organization (1994-2007). He was educated in Prague, Cambridge and Oxford. He founded and chaired Department of Economics at the University of Buckingham (1978-80) and co-founded Joint Vienna Institute (1996), a training institute of the World Bank, IMF, BIS, OECD, WTO and EBRD. He had worked in the World Bank (1983-1990) and served as the Chief International Negotiator for the Czechoslovak Government (EU and GATT 1990-94). He published widely in major professional economics journals and authored or co-authored 11 books and more than 100 scholarly articles. |
| PhDr. Viktor Hanzlík, MBA: Managing partner of McKinsey & Company in Czech Republic and global co-lead of the firm’s power and gas grids work. Viktor works with major international energy and infrastructure companies, principal investors, and financial institutions on navigating the opportunities and risks of energy transition. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from Charles University in Prague as well as an MBA from Columbia University in New York. | |

PhDr. Tomáš Honěk, MBA: Agile Transformation Lead at Česká spořitelna, and an ex-president of the IES Alumni Association. For eight years, he worked as a consultant with McKinsey and Company. He has advised market leaders mainly in banking and energy in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Italy, Russia and Slovakia. Before 2006 he was an Investment Analyst in AMCICO AIG Life, where he co-managed the $500 million fixed-income portfolio. He holds a PhDr. title in Economics from Charles University, where he graduated in 2007 summa cum laude, with the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Master Thesis. He also graduated with Masters in Business Administration at Harvard Business School in Boston, USA. Between 2016 and 2018, he worked as Director of Retail Performance and Development Division at Slovenská sporiteľňa. |

PhDr. Tomáš Jaroš: Chief Executive Officer, Patria Finance (KBC Group). Tomáš joined ČSOB (KBC Group) in 1999. In 2006, he was promoted to the Executive Director level being first responsible for Comprehensive Business & Marketing Support. In 2012-2014, he managed Consumer Finance in the Czech Republic. Until 2018, he was Executive Director in charge of Multi-brand Retail Banking Design and its strategic positioning. Tomas holds a PhDr. title in Economics from Charles University (2000). He was awarded Karel Engliš Prize for the outstanding Master Thesis and excellent studying results. In 2000-2004, he led tutorials in Econometrics, Capital Markets and Financial Management at the IES. Tomas also attended executive courses at Vlerick Business School in Gent and Leuven. |

Mgr. Vladimír Kreidl: Board Member and Chief Officer for Retail Banking (Raiffeisenbank). Vladimír is known for his early engagement as the chief economist of Patria Finance in the 1990s; later he became a co-founder and director of Patria Online. Then he moved to McKinsey & Company to work on various banking and insurance projects. In that position, he also cooperated with the Raiffeisen group, mainly in respect of the successful integration of eBanka, development of corporate banking or the launch of Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen private banking. He joined Raiffeisenbank in October 2013. He graduated from Faculty of Social Sciences and London School of Economics (LSE). |

doc. Ing. Lubomír Lízal, Ph.D.: An academic economist and current Rector of Anglo-American University. His research focuses on transformation economics, econometrics, applied microeconomics, market structures, corporate governance, competitiveness, monopolies, and the relationship between economics and the environment. He previously served as Director of the Economics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences and CERGE UK, was a member of the Czech National Bank Board, and sat on the National Economic Council of the Government. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of ČEZ and an energy economics expert at the Czech Technical University in Prague. |

Mgr. Jan Marek: Partner, Deloitte. He leads the valuation and financial modeling team in the whole Central Europe. He joined Deloitte in 2000 and specialises in valuation and financial modelling for litigation, transaction, transfer pricing and regulation purposes. Jan has led projects in a number of European countries, USA, as well as in Ethiopia and Iraq. Prior to joining Deloitte, Jan worked as a portfolio manager and stockbroker at the Prague Stock Exchange. He graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences. Jan is the president of the European chapter of the American Society of Appraisers and a member of the Committee for experts at the Czech Ministry of Justice. Jan is a member of the Business Valuation Board at the International Valuation Standards Council, which is a not-for-profit organisation that produces and implements universally accepted standards for the valuation of assets. |

Ing. Marek Mora: Vice-Governor of the Czech National Bank since December 2018. He graduated from the University of Economics in Prague, completed postgraduate studies in economics in Saarbrücken and Hamburg, and taught at Leipzig University. In 1999, he received the Young Economist of the Year 1998 award. He joined the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs in 2003, and three years later entered Czech public administration. He briefly served as Deputy Minister of Education, then spent over two years at the Office of the Government as Deputy to the Deputy Prime Minister and later Minister for European Affairs, followed by a short term as advisor to Prime Minister Jan Fischer. From 2010, he worked at the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union—first as Head of Cabinet of the Secretary-General and, from February 2016, as Director for Budget, Tax, and Regional Policy. |

Mgr. Pavel Nepala: Managing Partner and co-owner of RENOMIA, a.s. He graduated from the Institute of Economic Studies at Charles University in Prague and attended an educational program at Sorbonne, Université Paris. At RENOMIA, the leading Czech insurance brokerage firm specializing in insurance, claims management, and risk management for businesses, he focuses on international cooperation, marketing, sales, and information technology. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Worldwide Broker Network (WBN) and represents RENOMIA in other international organizations. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Tereza Maxová Foundation for Children. |

Ing. Tomáš Varcop, MBA: Director of innogy Energie, s.r.o. since 2016, previously Member of the Board of RWE Česká republika, a.s. and Chairman of the Executive Board of RWE Energie, s.r.o. From 2003 to 2007, he served as Director of the Sales and Trading Division at Západoslovenská energetika, a.s., and was a Board Member of ZSE Energia, a.s. Between 1993 and 2002, he worked at Accenture, advising clients in the electricity and gas sectors on projects in the United Kingdom, Germany, Finland, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary. He graduated from Brno University of Technology and earned an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. |
