GAUK

The Charles University Grant Agency (GA UK) is the university’s internal grant agency and your best opportunity to obtain relatively high amount of money to fund your research. Through GAUK, you can receive up to CZK 300,000 per year for 3 years, totaling nearly one million CZK. On average, about one-third of applications are successful.

Currently, only students enrolled at Charles University and studying in doctoral or masters programs in standard length of study may submit new grant applications. The process of grant allocation for each new round of the grant competition begins at the latest at the beginning of each academic year, announced by the rector.

For projects commencing in 2025, the electronic application system for submitting the grant proposals will open on October 1, 2024. The deadline for the electronic submission of grant proposals is on October 30, 2024.
