Admission Requirements
We welcome motivated applicants who have a basic knowledge of quantitative methodology and a good command of English. Since our program exposes you to advanced topics in economics and finance, we look for sufficient background knowledge in mathematics and solid quantitative skills. It is an advantage for you to already have basic knowledge of economics and/or finance, but we do not require it. You should be able to communicate with us in English without difficulty. We will evaluate your motivation to study economics and finance and your career plans. We particularly welcome applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business administration, mathematics, physics, engineering, or other technical fields. Find further information about the admission requirements here and the application process here and here.
Applications
Online application form here.
In the online application, you are invited to provide certificates from aptitude tests (e.g., SAT, GRE, GMAT) and language tests (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS). Providing these certificates is optional. If you do not have a corresponding certificate, please upload a file that refers the evaluation committee to other documents to evaluate your aptitude for studies and English language competence.
Upcoming application deadlines:
- 30 June 2025
- 31 August 2025
We strongly recommend visa-seeking students to apply by the earlier deadline. The later deadlines are mainly intended for students who already have a residence permit valid for Czechia. Evaluating the applications by the university takes approximately one month. Issuing a visa to admitted students can take several months. Admitted students are responsible for organizing their legal stay in Czechia. In selected courses, we offer hybrid teaching for students who do not receive their visa in time, but this should be considered only a backup option. For more information, see “How to Get a Visa.”
